Yogurt Fermentation Workshop

Yogurt Fermentation on Wednesday, Aug 22nd from 6:30pm-7:30pm

Join us to get scientific and ferment yogurt and yogurt cheese with Sue Petersen, Clinical Nutritionist of Health Simple, and Angel Landis, Local Food Preserver.

Yogurt is delicious, creamy and good for your microbiome. What’s a microbiome? Well, it is your gut bacteria that helps produce essential vitamins, creates serotonin-our happy feelings, and breaks down foods so we can absorb vital nutrients. It also helps our bodies repair and restore any damage that may occur to our digestion.

During this one hour class you will learn:

·         How to ferment yogurt

·         How to make yogurt cheese

·         Safety concerns of fermented food and how to store it

·         Nutritional information regarding how to use yogurt to help your diet

Cost is $15 per person, which includes step by step hand outs.
