Summer Classes at the Sustainable Living Center

Join us this summer as we learn about sustainability, from recycling and vermicomposting to zero-waste living!

We are offering  FREE classes at the Sustainable Living Center this summer:

Vermicomposting: Worms, worms, worms!

An amazing for of composting is called vermicomposting. These little helpers turn food scraps into incredibly nutritious compost. During this class, we’ll learn about the life cycle of worms, how they do what they do, and how you can start your own vermicompost!

Recycling: History to How-To

From the Green Revolution of the 1960s to the implementation of single-stream recycling in the last decade, we’ll venture into the history of recycling and sustainable waste management in the United States and how we can Recycle Right today!

Zero Waste Living: You can, too!

The zero-waste lifestyle trend took over social media a few years back, inspiring many people to take on the challenge. Zero doesn’t mean no waste, it means low waste. We’ll learn the tricks of the trade and become experts-in-progress on living as low-waste as possible!
