Oswego County 4-H is hosting Sparks - Leave No Trace. This 4-week session is taught by a certified Leave No Trace Trainer encouraging youth to protect the outdoors by teaching and inspiring them to enjoy it responsibly, and promoting environmental awareness in kids through hands-on activities and games. This 4-H club is meeting at Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m., between July 12th and August 2nd.
Sparks - Leave No Trace is available to Oswego County youth ages 5 to 18. The 4-H club will be using hands-on, indoor/outdoor based curriculum created by the Center of Outdoor Ethics. The fee to participate is $14 per youth. Registration is required as space is limited. A parent or legal guardian must attend the first session on July 12th. Children 5 to 8 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian attend every meeting with their child in accordance with 4-H insurance regulations.
COVID safety procedures are still being followed. Chairs, table tops, other flat spaces, and pens/pencils are sanitized after use. Facemasks may be worn if a participant chooses to.
