Oswego County 4-H will be offering a three session program on small pets. This program will be held on Fridays, April 12th, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, April 19th, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm, and ending on April 26th, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. These sessions will be held at the Believers Chapel North, 5375 State Rte 3, Mexico, NY 13114.
Participants will learn about different types of animals that can be pet's home. The focus of each session is about reptiles, birds, and small mammals.
The Oswego 4-H Small Pet program is open to youth of ages 8-18 years old, as well as cloverbuds ages 5-7 years old.. The fee to participate is $15 per youth. Enrolled Oswego County 4-H members are free. Registration is required as space is limited. A parent or legal guardian must attend the first session on April 12th to complete and sign additional enrollment paperwork.
