Are you new to cooking or just looking for some new ideas? This slow cooker cooking class is the answer! Come learn ways to chop, dice, and spice up some simple meals to cook up in a slow cooker. The class will take place on Friday, April 17th from 5 PM to 6:30 PM at the Interlaken Reformed Church on Main Street in Interlaken. Registration is $5 per person and samples will be served. This class is supported by a grant from the Greater Rochester Health Foundation.
Instead of turning to a pre-packaged frozen, drive thru, or take-out meal that is often high in sodium or fat, you can put healthy ingredients in a slow cooker in the morning and come home to something homemade! Cornell Cooperative Extension nutrition educators will give you some skills and recipes to make home cooked meals both easy and nutritious, even on a busy schedule! Join us on Friday, April 17th and learn some ways to make healthy, home-cooked meals with ease. Call Mo Tidball or Devra Rivkin at Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension at 315-539-9251 for more information.
