Zero Waste Businesses are leading the way to Zero Waste and have diverted over 90% of their waste from landfill and incineration. Zero Waste Communities have adopted Zero Waste goals and plans to implement those goals. Join leading Zero Waste expert Gary Liss to understand how Zero Waste can be a key part of business and community sustainability plans, help contribute to reducing greenhouse gases, enhance efficiency, and improve the triple bottom line for businesses.

This is an Introduction to Zero Waste for those who are currently actively working towards Zero Waste or higher waste diversion, or working on climate change or sustainability plans in their business or community. This training class will provide you with cutting edge knowledge of one of the hottest topics in the field today. The GrassRoots Recycling Network offers an optional Certificate of Completion for this class.

A class project will involve the participants in tackling a real world example of how to get to Zero Waste. Participants will work to develop a Zero Waste Plan for a business based on the principles learned in class.
