Mardi Gras Cooking Class

Mardi Gras Cooking Class. February 3, from 5:30-7:30pm at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County. Cost is $35.00.

Let the good times roll in this hands-on class featuring the iconic foods of New Orleans.  Learn about the “holy trinity”, how to make a roux, and the difference between Cajun and Creole foods.  Participants will cook and sample classic New Orleans recipes such as red beans and rice, jambalaya, and muffalettas and learn about the historical and cultural influences that have brought these foods to infamy.
