Land Valuation and Creating a Land Lease

Land Valuation & Creating a Land Lease
Monday January 24th
6:30-8:30pm
Zoom

Understanding how much your land is worth is the first step when looking to either work with a realtor or considering renting to a farmer. There has been research done across NYS to create benchmark values based on location, soil types and other factors.

Ag Assessment, or when working with a farmer, often necessitates a lease. Many lease “agreements” are nothing more than a handshake and an annual payment? This leaves both the landowner and the farmer leasing the land at risk. There are very important considerations including how improvements can and will be made to the property, and who is liable for injury on the property. A formal lease agreement can eliminate many of these issues. Our presenters will walk through these two subjects and will provide templates and resources.

Cost is $10 per person and includes a zoom connection, resources and the recording to be sent afterwards. Veterans who reside in NY or NJ may attend for free due to outside support.
