Hosting visitors to your farm for events such as harvest dinners, customer open houses, festivals, or a private event may seem like a great idea, but will it be worth the return? At this workshop Marie Anselm will share the results of a North East SARE study that tracked farm event customers over a two year period to determine how farm events help farms gain and retain customers. Marie will share information on what to expect from hosting an event on your farm to make it successful for your operation. There will also be the opportunity to discuss agritourism opportunities in Ontario County. Cost is $15 per person.
