4H Horse Camp will be held May 19-21, at the Franklin County Fairgrounds, Malone, NY. 4H Horse Camp is open to 4H youth enrolled in a horse project in Franklin, Clinton, and Essex counties. Campers must have been evaluated on their horse or pony prior to the event. Current Coggin’s certificate dated 2016 or 2017 and rabies certificate dated within one year are required for each horse prior to the event. Participants will attend a variety of classes and hands-on activities both Saturday and Sunday per their riding level and ability. Classes will include hoof care, equine first aid, saddle fitting, braiding/banding, crafts, horse scavenger hunt and there will be a Tack and Clothing Swap. Dinner Friday evening, all meals on Saturday, breakfast and lunch are supplied for the weekend. Stalls are included in fee.
Camper spaces available. Families may camp in the 4H building. Fee per camper is $35 for one youth in family not to exceed $60 for multiple youth in same family. Credit card payment available. For more information, contact pab21@cornell.edu or call 518-483-7403.
