Do you wonder if you are using your woods to their full potential? Are you looking to diversify your farm operation? Or are you looking to derive value from your woods? If this is you then please join CCE Madison County and CCE Onondaga at Many Maples Farm in Georgetown as we identify profitable opportunities for your woodlot!
Growing a profitable Woodlot will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 26th. Participants will learn how to take inventory of their existing resources, identify reliable sources of assistance, and create realistic goals for their woodlots. The day will include a woods walk where we will review basic silviculture principles and discuss how to understand what is going on in your wood lot. Registration for the event is $10 and include a pancake and sausage lunch. Attendees will leave the program feeling more comfortable about exploring different opportunities for revenue generation in their woods. This Saturday event will be hosted at Many Maples Farm (697 State Route 26, Georgetown, NY 13072) from 10:00 am to 2pm. Please be sure to dress weather appropriately and wear sturdy footwear.
