Cut Flower Farmers: We're Talking Innovation and Science
The next logical step after our Cut Flower Business Speaker Series was to move right on to science. In March we are hosting three sessions to talk about innovations in the fields that you can apply to your cut flower farms. The goal is to bring speakers who cultivate innovations in the fields to see how they can apply to cut flower farms.
Sessions include:
* Growing with High Tunnels (March 12, Jud Reid, Cornell Vegetable Program & Harvest New York)
* Integrated Weed Management (March 19, Bryan Brown, NYS Integrated Pest Management Program at Cornell)
* Water Management & Irrigation (March 26, Prof. Steve Reiners, Chair, Horticulture Department at Cornell University)
The series will be on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County at 480 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
$15 or $40 for all three sessions, we accept cash, check, & credit at the door.
4-H or K-12 graders are free with a registered guest.
