PENN YAN, NY – On Thursday, December 5th. Cornell Cooperative Extension-Yates County will host its Annual Meeting at the Elks Lodge, located at 133 Main Street, Penn Yan New York. Join us as we look back on a successful year, give awards, and elect new Board Members.
The event starts at 6:00 PM, and features a sit-down dinner of beef brisket, roasted potatoes, brussels sprout winter squash, mixed green salad, and assorted cookies and brownies (provided by Karen Fudge and Connie Glover) for dessert. Also, the event will feature tastings from Climbing Bines, Stever Hill, and The Finger Lakes Community College Viticulture and Wine Center.
We are also thrilled to announce that this year’s featured speaker will be Colby Petersen, District Manager for the Yates County Soil & Water Conservation District. Founded in 1940, Yates County SWCD is committed to providing technical assistance on the many strategies for protecting our soil and water resources.
The evening will conclude with the Board of Directors meeting, which is open to the public.
