Rockland County 4-H Youth for Climate Action Program
Explore climate change issues, connect with local leaders, develop skills, and serve the community!
When: Thursdays, December 21 - May 30, 6:00pm - 7:30pm (with exceptions) Who: High school students in grades 9-11 Cost: $175 ($150 for returning members) Financial assistance is available.

- Thursday, December 21, 6pm - 7pm: Orientation, CCE Rockland, Stony Point, NY
- Thursday, January 11, 6pm - 7:30pm: Local Climate Action - Learn about local and state initiatives from community leaders, CCE Rockland
- Thursday, January 4, 6pm - 8pm: Global Climate Change - Documentary Screening, CCE Rockland
- Thursday, February 8, 6pm - 7:30pm: Communication Skills and Public Presentations - Learn how to develop, organize, and deliver an effective presentation, CCE Rockland
- Thursday, February 15, 6pm - 8pm: Service Project Planning - Conduct a community needs assessment, consider project ideas, and begin work on a service project, CCE Rockland
- Tuesday, February 20, 10:30am - 11:30am: Sustainable Fashion- Eileen Fisher Waste No More Factory Tour, Irvington, NY
- Thursday, February 29, 6pm - 8pm: Public Presentations: Sharing with Peers - Share a short presentation on a climate change issue and learn from others
- Saturday, March 2, 9am - 12pm (Optional): 4-H Public Presentation Event - Get feedback on your presentation and learn how to improve your skills, CCE Rockland
- Thursday, March 14, 6pm - 7:30pm: Service Project Coordination - Meet with Community Partners, Virtual
- Thursday, March 21, 6pm - 7:30pm: Dominican University Tour - Learn about Dominican's new Environmental Studies Major and connect with faculty, staff, and students, Orangeburg, NY
- Thursday, April 10 & 11, 4:15pm - (approx.) 6:15pm: The American Eel Project, West Haverstraw, NY
- Thursday, April 18, 5pm - 6pm: Solar Field Tour, Clarkstown, NY
- Thursday, May 2, 6pm - 7:30pm: Composting/Waste Management, Clarkstown or Hillburn, NY
- Thursday, May 23, 6pm - 7:30pm: Service Project Review & Presentations, CCE Rockland
Thursday, May 30, 5pm - 7pm: Community Celebration - Celebrate with family, friends, and community members, and share information about your service project
