Self-Watering Planters

Madison County 4-H and the Madison County Master Gardener Volunteer Program are partnering to make self-watering planters with/for the Madison County Seed to Supper program participants! Please join us in the barn on April 24th from 5:00-7:00pm to make planters. (100 Eaton Street, Morrisville, NY 13408)

This is a great opportunity for 4-H youth to learn about how to make a planter that can be used in any living situation. If you live in a house, an apartment, in the country, or the city - we can all grow food at home! Youth will have the opportunity to make their own self-watering planter from 5:00-6:00pm. We will provide pizza from 6:00-6:30, and then youth will have the opportunity to demonstrate how to make the planters to the Seed to Supper Participants from 6:30-7:00pm.

This project also counts as a youth service project, if you participate in all three sessions. The first is Seed Sowing on 3/15, the second is Self Watering Planters on 4/24, and the third is Garden Snacks @ the Seed to Supper Graduation on 5/16. Look for registrations for all three sessions!
