The Seed to Supper program is a beginning gardening course that gives novice gardeners the tools they need to connect with others in the community, grow in confidence and successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget.
If you register below, you will be attending classes at the Canastota Library from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Please only register once. The system can be slow, give it time to work. Each student will receive a free 98 page book on beginning vegetable growing filled with tips, resources and recipes.
Each session at this location includes:
- 1 hour 15 minute Power Point presentation of the class curriculum with volunteer garden educators there to help you learn!
- 30 minute volunteer led hands-on activity

You must make an effort to attend them all! There will be giveaways at each session. Giveaways vary but may include: gloves, soil knives, seeds, tool bags, plants and more.

May 16th at 5:30pm we will throw you a potluck graduation party at CCE Madison at 100 Eaton Street in Morrisville! Mark your calendars! 4-H youth will assist in preparing some of the food.
The Teaching Garden: is a living classroom, meant to help S2S participants learn well! Located behind CCE Madison in Morrisville, the Teaching Garden is growing every year. There will be three hands-on working sessions during the 6 weeks.
Hands-on Workshops: (not a requirement to receive your certificate, but hands-on learning will help you learn so much better!)
- Getting to Know Your Soil & Sheet Mulching activity: Saturday April 13th @2pm at CCE Madison
- Self-watering bucket gardens! Wednesday April 24th @6:30pm at CCE Madison - 4-H Youth will lead you through this activity as a 4-H project
- Direct Sowing Seeds activity: Saturday April 27th at 11am at CCE Madison's Teaching Garden
