Come learn how to Leave No Trace when enjoying our public, national, and state recreation areas in celebration of National Trails Day! We will start in the Paul & Theresa Schoeck Education Building learning about the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace from our environmental educator and Leave No Trace Trainer- find out ways you can play a role in keeping recreation trails pristine for generations to come! Then, we will take a hike through the woodlands and demonstrate how to LNT in different scenarios. Attendees will receive free 'swag' from the American Hiking Society!
We ask you please wear boots or shoes that can get wet and or muddy and dress appropriately for an evening hike around the nature center.
The fee for this program is only $4.00 per person up to $12.00 per family. Children under the age of three are free.
