Introduction to Cultivated Mushrooms

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County is offering a Introduction to Cultivated Mushroom Workshop on Wednesday evening, September 7th 2016 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The workshop will be held at Vince's Park in Seneca Falls (at the intersection of Rts 5&20 and Rt 318).

Join Extension Agroforestry Specialist Steve Gabriel for an evening presentation on successful cultivation of shiitake, oyster, lions mane, and stropharia mushrooms for home or small-farm scale production. Learn the proper tree species and techniques for cultivation, along with basic economics and mattering of gourmet speciality mushrooms. Students will get to inoculate their own log to take home!
