Meat Pressure Canning

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County will host a Meat Pressure Canning for Beginners Class, October 26th, 2021, from 6-8pm. Many people hesitate to can meat but it's actually a great way to preserve flavor and save room in the freezer.  No thawing required!

Our colleague Betty Clark, SNAP-Ed Team leader, and Cornell Certified Master Food Preserver from CCE-Chenango will be teaching the class in the AG Center at the CCE Madison office, 100 Eaton Street, Morrisville, NY 13408. No experience necessary. Come, learn the procedures for safely canning meat, in a pressure canner. Includes a demonstration and hands on experience.

For more information, please contact Megan Henderson, Ag Subject Educator, at meh363@cornell.edu, or 315-684-3001 ext. 126. For the most up to date information on our programs follow us on Facebook at CCEMadison.

Masks are required at this event and social distancing will be observed.
