Dr. Ron Godin, Colorado State University Extension Agronomist, will be here to discuss summer pest problems, growth towards harvesting, and more relating to the production of hops in the North Country. Dr. Godin has 20 years in research and extension and conducts variety trials, harvesting and processing research.
We will also have a panel of growers to discuss issues they faced in the hop yard and lead in a roundtable conversation of future educational needs.
The evening will wind up with a 5 course beer pairing dinner created by PSC with beer provided by Ted Coughlin, native of Malone and owner of Ironclad Brewery, North Carolina.
Farm Visits Offered by Dr. Godin — Call the CCE Office at 518-483-7403 to schedule an on-site visit by Dr. Godin at your Hop Yard. Appointments are being offered Friday, July 29 or Saturday, July 30.
