Come celebrate our Herpepalooza! event as environmental educators will discuss herpetology, or the study of amphibians, then lead participants around the nature center looking for frogs, salamanders, and newts (oh my!). Now that its springtime, frogs, newts, and salamanders are living, swimming and breeding in the various vernal pools, wetlands, and waterways located around the environmental education center. Participants will be scientists for the day, getting their hands dirty and making new discoveries! Water-proof boots or shoes that can get wet and muddy are highly recommended. We ask you dress appropriately for the weather that day.
The fee for this program is only $4.00 per person up to $12.00 per family. Children under the age of three are free.
