Healthy Living Leaders
For Jefferson County Teens
Event Dates: 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27
This 6-week certificate program will help teenagers develop meal planning, cooking, nutrition, presentation, and leadership skills. We will do food demonstrations and nutrition lessons to encourage participants to adapt healthy lifestyles and habits that they will continue in the future. Additionally, participants will work together on an outreach project to communicate what they have learned and advocate for healthy habits to their peers and younger youth in Jefferson County. Ingredients for demonstrations will be provided. Space for this program is limited and registration is required.
