If you would like to learn more about getting started with chickens, please join us on July 7, 2017 from 6-8pm at the Chemung County Fairground in the 4-H Building. We will be going over the basics of raising chickens for both eggs and meat. Topics covered in this workshop include zoning restrictions, breeds, chick care, housing, nutrition, pasture management, health, predator control, egg grading, slaughtering requirements, marketing, and more.
