Winter Break Lunchtime Hikes
Join Groton Youth Services during this February break on Tuesday February 16th and Wednesday February 17th for hiking and a wintertime picnic lunch! Program will meet at the Masonic Lodge on Main St. in Groton at 11:00am and walk as a group to the Groton Hiking trail where we will brave the snow to hike the trail while trying to identify animal tracks, spot birds, and enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. After hiking, the group will end up at the Groton Town Park on Sykes St. where they will have a picnic lunch together and get picked up at 1:00pm. Lunch WILL be provided by GYS at no cost to participants for these programs and youth are also welcome to pack and bring their own if they prefer. Youth whom are unable to hike are welcome to join in the picnic fun at the park from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Tuesday's program is for youth in grades 4th - 8th, while Wednesday is for grades 3rd - 7th. Youth are welcome to register for both days but space may be limited.
