Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cortland County will be kicking off its summer series of in-person workshops for part-time farmers. This workshop will introduce attendees to different styles of fencing to keep livestock in, keep wildlife out, or hold plants up. We hope attendees will bring their concerns and their experience to share with other farmers from the area.
Dana Havas and Fay Benson, both with CCE Cortland, will lead the discussion and walk around Triple 3 Livestock to see how Jim and Ann Phillips have used different styles of fence to attain their goals with the cows and sheep on their farm. Cortland Soil and Water Conservation District will also be there to share what services they can offer to local farmers who are looking for fencing solutions.
