4-H Faces of Community Service Project 2021-2022

Faces of 4-H Community Service Project

4-H Members, Leaders and Parents.  If you have volunteered in the name of 4-H we want to hear about it! When listing your club please only list one club. At the end of the year we give a certificate to the club with the most community service hours.

Additionally if you are a 4-H Members that plans to exhibit at the Boonville Oneida County Fair complete and log 6 Hours of Community Service prior to July 1st!

NEW!! starting in 2022 4-H Members wishing to show at the Boonville Fair must provide at least 1 hour ( of the six mentioned above) directly to an Oneida County program/activity.  If you are planning on showing a horse at the Fair that 1 hour must be towards a Oneida County horse program/activity.

Faces of 4-H will provide your county an opportunity to showcase the great things you are doing in the community.

Logging your hours into the system will not only give us a running total of the projects you are working on but it will also gives us an opportunity to spotlight your efforts in our newsletters and create displays at County and the State Fairs.

What is Community Service?: Community service is work done by a person or group of people that benefits others. It is often done near the area where you live, so your own community reaps the benefits of your work. You do not get paid to perform community service, though sometimes food and small gifts, like a t-shirt, are given to volunteers. Community service can help any group of people in need: children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, English language learners, and more. It can also help animals, such as those at a shelter, and it can be used to improve places, such as a local park, historic building, or scenic area as well. Community service is often organized through a local group, such as a place of worship, school, or non-profit organization. You can also start your own community service projects. Some students are required to complete community service as part of a class requirement in order to graduate high school or become a member of certain organizations, such as the National Honor Society.

When recording your time there is a line for hours and a line for minutes.  If you volunteered for 1 1/2 hours please put 1 in the hour line and 30 in the minute line.

IF YOU DO NOT GET A CONFIRMATION EMAIL YOUR HOURS DID NOT REGISTER

If you do not receive a email, please contact the office AFTER checking your spam or junk folder

Cloverbuds are not required to do Community Service to participate in the fair.

Please list each day you volunteer separately this will make corrections easier.
