2018 4-H Duds to Dazzle

Duds to Dazzle 2018

the 3rd annual Erie County 4-H Duds to Dazzle, which will be held at the CCE office, “The Roycroft Print Shop” in Dard Hunter Hall (21 S. Grove Street) Saturday, April 21.

A few reminders about the 2018 event:

There will be no lunch provided at the event.
There are updated resources on the 4-H website for D2D- please take the time to look!
Make sure you are aware of what is allowed in the Supply Kit by reviewing the document on our website.
Our event is limited to 12 teams.
Teams are minimum of three and a maximum of five 4-H members.
If there are open slots on a teams and an independent member wishes to participate they will be added where possible- the team will be notified in advance.
 
Our event schedule is below. Please arrive on time for your age group. (If a family has a team member and CB they may both arrive at the earlier time slot).

 

9:00 a.m.      Educator, Committee Members and Judges Arrive

9:00 a.m.      Judge Orientation

9:30 a.m.      Teams Check In

9:45 a.m.      Team Set Up Complete, Orientation

10:00 a.m.      Teams Allowed to Open Assignments & Begin! 

10:15 a.m.      Supply Closet Open

10:15 a.m.      Cloverbuds Check In

10:30 a.m.      Cloverbuds begin project

11:00 a.m.   Teams Design Must Be Complete / Cloverbuds finished

11:15 a.m.   Team Presentations / Cloverbud Show & Tell (optional Clothing Evaluation     will begin before lunch if presentations finish early)

12:00 p.m.   Awards  

 

 

*Adult Team Supervisor:  Each team MUST have a supervisor. Please understand your number one job that day is to ensure our youth are using safe techniques when creating their items. You will also be accountable for keeping track of time for the team.

Note to Teams & Adults Supervising: The 4-H Textile Committee feels it is important for this event to bring all 4-Hers and Volunteers together by interacting with new 4-Hers and families and for this event to be as fair & fun as possible, therefore the Adults that are Team Supervisors will be reassigned to a team that is possibly not their club or family- please don’t be upset or alarmed that things will be different than you may have planned.
 
*Youth Teams: Please know your Supply Kit will be checked at registration. Be prepared and ready! Also, when preparing for your presentation you may use the provided worksheet, however for your presentation notes must be on note cards (some will be provided) or memorized

 

We are excited to see you all at D2D, best of luck! Family and Friends are welcome to come and watch (but realize it will have to be from a distance during construction).
