This workshop is your official introduction to backyard poultry production. We will focus on the basics of backyard chickens, including housing, feeding, health and general management.
After a 1 hour presentation, there will be a "trade show"-style set up for people to explore different brooders, feed options, and examples of how to label eggs for sale.
This workshop will provide attendees with the tools to make starting a backyard chicken flock as easy as possible!
Join us on April 20th at 6pm at the Chemung County Fairgrounds.
NOTE: This workshop is open to the general public, with a separate track for 4-H youth interested in the poultry club.
