Boonville County Fair 4-H Dairy Show
Showmanship and Jr Animals Show will be Wednesday July 24th 2019 at 9am in the Show Tent

Sr Animals Show Friday July 26th 2019 at 9 am in the Show Tent

- ENTRY FORMS DUE JUNE 15th. NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
- Only 2 entries per class per exhibitor, 2nd animal must be shown by another 4-Her.
Cloverbuds are Limited to one animal.
- Livestock must meet standards for Conduct of Fairs, Livestock Health Requirements, and General Rules of the Department.
- Animals must be registered in the exhibitor’s name exclusively by JUNE 1st of the current year, if papers have been applied for by not received, proof of application can be used.
- 4-Hers “leasing” must have completed NYS 4-H non-ownership certificate by JUNE 1ST
- Signs/displays must indicate that the animal is exhibited by Youth. EX: “4-H”, “Clover”
- NO Stock under 2 months.
- NO BULLS may be shown in 4-H.
- 4-H Members must SHOW, FIT and TAKE CARE of their OWN Animal.
- All livestock must be in place by noon on Tuesday unless noted otherwise.
- ALL 4-H Members are encouraged to stay the duration of the Fair However please note the changes in the Schedule.
- Dairy Cattle may leave on Friday at 7pm or maybe released earlier per approval from CCE staff and must be out by Saturday at 8am at the latest.
- Beef may arrive Friday night after 8pm but must be in place by Saturday at 10am.
- All animals MUST be checked by State Veterinarian BEFORE entering the barns or tents.
- Each exhibitor is expected to provide their own stalls and feed.
- Milking Parlor hours are established by milking attendant. Exhibitors are free to use milking parlor during designed hours.
- White Pants and White Shirt mandatory for Showmanship.
- Animals will be Judged on the Danish System – Excellent, Good and Worthy

  

All 4-H exhibiting at the fair will be automatically judged on Herdsmanship.

AWARD: CASH PRIZE


Fitting and Showmanship is required by all 4-H dairy exhibitors. The judge will consider: (a) preparation of the animal for showing, (b) showing the animal, (c) appearance of exhibitor.
