Baking Bread! Class

Do you love the smell of fresh baked bread and want to know how to make it yourself in your home kitchen? This specialty bread baking class is the answer!

The Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension Nutrition Educators will show you two different approaches to baking bread at the Baking Bread! class. Come learn from Mo Tidball and Sue Petersen how to make quick whole grain buns and sprouted bread, on Tuesday, March 20th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension (SCCCE) office in the Main Street Shop Center in Waterloo.

With spring and summer right around the corner we want you to be prepared to make your own quick and easy buns for picnics and BBQs. These whole grain buns will be the envy of the party and can be ready within one hour.

Sprouted seeds make bread taste nutty and adds a whole new level of nutrition to your baked goods. Learn how to add delicious sprouts to your favorite bread recipes.

Baking bread from scratch is a very satisfying process, plus you know exactly what all the ingredients are!  There are many different bread products on the market with varying health claims. What is a whole grain anyway and why are they important to eat? Why would you want to add sprouts to your bread? Join us to learn the facts about whole grains and sprouts and some ways to make healthy whole grain breads with ease from the Seneca County CCE nutrition staff.
