Come learn about and celebrate the Autumnal Equinox at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center! Educators will discuss how this event happens and what can be expected in nature during this season, like shorter days, temperatures dropping or wildlife preparing for winter by stocking food. Educators will then lead the group on a guided hike through the woods to look for signs of fall. We may see leaves beginning to change color or geese starting their migration south. Boots, sneakers, or closed-toe shoes are recommended and we ask you please dress accordingly for the weather on the day of the program.
The fee this program is only $4.00 per person up to $12.00 per family. Children under the age of three are free.
