Agritourism offers many benefits to the farmers and the public. It can help grow the customer base and farms' revenues, provide entertainment to the public while educating them about local agriculture.

Last year only, the Finger Lakes welcomed 5.56 million travelers, 90% of those were leisure seeker, the rest came for business. As people travel they often search for new ways of entertainment. These visitors represent a large pool of potential customers.
