We are celebrating Agricultural Literacy Month in March 2024 and we're so excited that we will be celebrating all month long!
How Does Agricultural Literacy Week work?
In celebration of New York agriculture, volunteers throughout the state will read a book with an agricultural theme to elementary students. Students and teachers will also benefit from hands-on lessons and receive follow up activities. The book will be donated to the school or classroom library.
EDUCATORS:
Please register your classroom for this free program provided by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Monroe County's 4-H Youth Development Program and Monroe County Farm Bureau. This annual event is sponsored by New York State Agriculture in the Classroom.
This is an in-person program.
Register each class separately. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once you have registered, and another e-mail once your classroom & volunteer have been scheduled.
**Please note we can accommodate several classrooms from the same school at the same time. It is helpful for us if you communicate amongst yourselves to find common times for the program.
Space for the program is limited so registration by Wednesday, February 28th is appreciated!
Thank you for inviting us into your classroom!
