4H Winter Horse,Goat and Dog Symposium 2018

4H Winter Horse, Goat, Dog Symposium, Saturday, January 27, 9:30 registration, programs begin at 10:00 am -2:00 pm at the Langdon Building (formerly the North Star Building on Creighton Rd) Malone, NY.  Open to all 4H youth in Franklin and neighboring counties. Free event.

Seminars presented by veterinarians, local professionals, staff and volunteers. Lyme Disease in Equines and other diseases, Horse Training Tips, Poisonous Plants in Your Pastures,  Utilizing Goat Milk,  Goat Care in Winter,  Dog Health Care, programs for younger members, crafts.  Pot luck lunch-bring your own beverages and a dish to pass.

Dr. Dorothee Gilmore-Lyme Disease in Equines  Dr. Kerry Alexander-How Vitamin E deficiency affects equine temperament and performance, PHF, WNV and other diseases that are now in our area. Melanie Cook-Douglas-"We train our horses every time we handle them".  Janet Collier-Utilizing Goat Milk. Canine Health Care. Poisonous plants in our pastures. More.
