4-H Camp Beechwood 2021

Each summer, the Wayne County 4-H Program offers a 1-week day camp for youth aged 5 (completed kindergarten) to 12 years of age, at Beechwood State Park, on the shores of Lake Ontario in Sodus, New York.

4-H Camp Beechwood provides a safe, fun experience in an outdoor setting that allows youth the opportunity for physical and emotional growth.  Campers learn leadership, teambuilding, problem solving and creative thinking skills while engaging in outdoor adventure.  A few of our guest presenters are from Sea Grant, Trail Works, Wayne County Soil and Water, and DEC, among others.

We utilize teen counselors and coach them to help build leadership skills as well as teaching them useful job readiness skills.  The teens complete an application, develop a resume and submit a letter of reference.  Our counselors organize their own cabins, teach songs, lead activities and supervise the campers.

We look forward to seeing you at 4-H Camp Beechwood this summer!
