4-H Student Government
This program is open to high school students in Jefferson County
The 4-H Student Government Program is designed to give high school Juniors and Seniors hands-on experience with civic engagement and a greater understanding of county and state government. This year we are offering the program to any Sophomores or Freshmen that you feel would be interested in this program. With that being said, we are giving first priority to upperclassmen.
This year's 4-H Student Government Program has been adapted to a virtual format in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students will have the opportunity to meet their Jefferson County Legislators and hear from representatives from the US Senate, Congress, NYS Senate, and the NYS Assembly, as well as local town and city representatives.
Spots in this program are limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Dates of program:
March 29, 2021 - May 4, 2021
Every Monday and Wednesday from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
*The program will conclude on Tuesday May 4, 2021, where the students will have a chance to attend a virtual Jefferson County Board of Legislators Meeting*
(Registration deadline: March 22, 2021)
